Playday 2016 Theme has been announced
And it is … Play matters!
According to Play Wales, ‘the Playday Play matters campaign is calling on everyone to help make sure that children and young people across the UK have the time, freedom and space to play. As well promoting children’s right to play, the campaign is highlighting that play matters for:
- children’s mental health and wellbeing
- creativity and learning
- all ages and abilities
This year is 29th Playday anniversary and can get involved by: holding a Playday celebration, spreading the word about the campaign, become an official campaign supporter or follow Playday on Facebook and Twitter .
There’s lots of advice and guidance available on the Playday website to get you started – from promotional posters and postcards, to practical tips from Playday event organisers.
