Neil Griffiths comes to Eureka! 25th May

Eureka are excited to welcome world renowned educator Neil Griffiths to Eureka! to offer primary teachers a packed day of professional development. Neil, the creator of the acclaimed Storysack phenomenon is a former Primary School Headteacher and a director of the National Literacy Support Project. This highly practical day will explore the important contribution role-play can make across all subjects in Key Stage 2. And as well as working with Neil, you’ll also hear from experts at Eureka! about how we integrate play into our galleries to maximise learning outcomes.

Designed for all practitioners working with this age group, this training opportunity will examine:

  • the importance of continuing to allow older children to play
  • ways of integrating play into everyday activities
  • how to plan for play in Key Stage Two
  • the differences in play at Key Stage Two
  • approaches to creating effective role-play areas
  • structuring play for older pupils
  • cross-curricular outcomes from play
